I did get our advent calendar hung up on the first. Here are some pictures of that.
I made this back in 1993 when I was pregnant with my daughter. We've lost a few ornaments over the years, but not too bad. This is how it looked this morning after my son, the only one home, put up the latest ornament. I found this pattern in Cross Stitch and Country Crafts - remember that magazine. I loved it because you could turn to the back and order what you needed for the project so that it would turn out like the model. Boy, do I miss that magazine.

ReplyDeleteI've just "discovered" your blog and I'm enjoying your posts. Your Advent calendar looks great! I stitched the same one way back then. I had seen it in the magazine and then my friend and I went to the first Spirit of Cross Stitch show in Saratoga Springs. there it was all kitted up! Well I couldn't believe i was spending that much on a kit (yes well that was a slippery slope...but I digress!) Anyway, I stitched it up and we hang it every year. My two boys used to take turns each year being first or last. They're both away at school now so I start it each year. Glad to see someone else loves their's too! Nancy in NY hedghogmom@aol.com
